Stevie Glenn Johnson, Jr. 42, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014. Born in Knoxville, TN, he had been a resident of Hampton for 32 years. He was an electrician for David R. Hall, Inc. and played softball from age 5-19 and coached, umpired and volunteered for the Wythe Little League for 10 years. Stevie is survived by his mother, Nancy Edwards; father, Stevie G. Johnson, Sr.; step-son, Richard Deel; sisters, Ashley Bye and Tracy Edwards; and nephews, James Wilson and Wesley Frey. A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 PM Thursday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa, TN.
