Mildred E. Edwards, 78, was called home Saturday, May 16, 2015. A native of Greenville, SC, she had been a Hampton resident for the last 53 years. She was a member of the CB Club of Hampton/Newport News. Preceded in death by her husband, James D. Edwards; survivors include her children, Sheila Krug and her husband, Anthony, Danny Edwards and his partner, Penny, and Dale Edwards and his wife, Debbie; her partner, Francis Toney; her brother, Charles George; seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by Pastor Rusty Beck. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday at the funeral home.
