Carlton H. Burney's Obituary
Carlton H. Burney, 87, died Sunday, November 20, 2022. Born in Bladen Co., NC, he joined the Newport News Shipyard at 16 years old, retiring as a millwright. "Burney" was a member of Pine Chapel Baptist Church.
Burney is survived by his wife, Martha Burney; children, Jerry, Dean, Donna and Jeff; and many grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 28, 2022 at Pine Chapel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service from 1-2 pm.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Pine Chapel Baptist Church Choir Fund.
